Great Art Wednesdays
October 18 @ 11:00 am
This month, Great Art Wednesdays Presents: Jamie Wyeth & the Unflinching Eye
Showings at 11am and 2pm with an 84 minute run time.
A Juno Films documentary, directed by Glenn Holsten.
The first feature documentary on an artist who painted JFK, Andy Warhol, and the animals on his own Maine farm with the same unflinching eye.
Jamie Wyeth is a third generation of a painting dynasty that includes his grandfather N.C. Wyeth and father Andrew Wyeth, and he’s carved out his own path within it. His subjects range from John F. Kennedy and Andy Warhol to Arnold Shwarzenegger, Rudolf Nureyev, and the animals on his farm and the islands of Maine, always seen through a distinctive, sometimes unsettling lens.
