Fall in Vermont

Fall and Thanksgiving in Vermont cannot be outdone! If you want to see the fall foliage, there is nothing better than an autumn vacation in Vermont.

The early part of fall brings cooler days, a slower pace, students coming back to the college, and apple picking. Stop by a local orchard to taste the multiple varieties of apples (or pick your own), cider, and donuts – yes donuts! Happy Valley Orchard’s apple cider donuts are some of our favorite!

October brings the colors and the visitors. Plan ahead for this time of year as our rooms fill fast. Take a drive during the day to appreciate the natural beauty Vermont has to offer and then stay in for the evening with a romantic candlelit dinner for two at Jessica’s  Restaurant. The culinary team in our kitchen switches over to the heartier fall delights and specials made with local ingredients. Finally, the cool days turn to cold nights, and we start the fireplaces.
