A Cozy Thanksgiving at Swift House Inn

As Thanksgiving approaches, Vermont settles into its most peaceful season. It’s a time of stillness and gathering—when the bustle of summer fades, and the rhythm of small-town life turns inward. Whether you’re coming home to family or seeking a quiet, cozy retreat, November in Addison County offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and heartfelt hospitality.

Nice piece — the inn sounds wonderfully cozy. Quick question: do you know if the Thanksgiving menu can be adapted for common dietary restrictions (vegetarian or gluten-free)? Also, is there an extra fee for bringing a dog? If anyone else has recent experience, would love to hear how the food and walks around Middlebury were.
