Person making a putt on a golf course You may have never scored a birdie or bogey or even know what those terms mean or perhaps you are a pro off the tee and are just itching to get out on the green. No matter what your skill level, we’ve got some fantastic spots close to our inn where you can get some great golfing in this summer.

One of best spots to enjoy a day on the green is the Ralph Myhre Golf Course right here in Middlebury. This 18-hole course, which is a favorite of both locals and visitors, is owned and operated by Middlebury College. It offers golfers a unique experience, as it has not only been designed for all skill levels in mind, it is a gorgeous course that provides golfers with a spectacular backdrop upon which to play. There aren’t many courses where you can be surrounded by the Green Mountains—with towering mature trees lining every fairway and stunning vistas at every turn. You’ll find a full service golf shop, practice putting green, practice bunker, and driving range. They offer half-hour or one-hour lessons if you need to brush up on your game and Above Par Food & Spirits where you can grab drinks, appetizers, and a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and burgers.
