Middlebury Snow Bowl Now Open For Winter Fun

Man snow-skiing wearing a red coat, grey pants and helmet with reflective goggles, tall baren trees and snowy bushes.

The heavens above have listened to many cries for the fluffy white stuff to fall and we are excited to tell our friends and guests that the Middlebury Snow Bowl is open! Get out your favorite hat, warm gloves and winter gear and head on out for some cold weather fun.

The Snow Bowl is located just 13 miles east of Middlebury on route VT-125—a quick and easy 25-minute drive from our inn. It is a perfect place to get on the slopes for a day or even just an afternoon if that’s all the free time you have. There is nothing like getting out in nature with fresh snow under your feet and 17 great trails ready to greet you. There are over 600 skiable acres with some of the best woods skiing and riding in Vermont. You’ll find endless lines to explore and you can be sure there is always soft, powdery snow to be found. There are three chair lifts and a special carpet lift that allows anyone to try skiing for free. If you are a beginner and a bit leery of the bigger lifts, the carpet lift and smaller hill is the perfect place to gain some confidence before heading to the bigger trails.

For the 2015-2016 ski season they are also opening a new Waffle Cabin with a variety of hot and cold drinks and delicious waffles! There are private clinics, lessons, and packages and of course many rental packages if you don’t own your own equipment. Visit their website for tickets and passes pricing, hours of operation, and more. If you are planning a winter Vermont vacation, we have our Winter Warm-Up and Romantic Escape packages so check them out before booking your favorite room. You can book directly online today or call us for more information.
