When we talk about being surrounded by breathtaking scenery we are not exaggerating! Many of our guests comment on the beauty of the area and are pleased to find so many fantastic places to visit and things to do during their time here. Just a half-hour away from our inn is Mt. Philo State Park. Located in Charlotte, VT, this state park is 168 acres of true beauty that provides visitors with spectacular views of the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Champlain.
Just a quick drive down Highway 7 takes you to the Mt. Philo State Park, which happens to be Vermont’s oldest state park built in 1924. Once you arrive, a narrow, steep road will bring you to the top of the mountain. This is a great option if you are in the mood for an easy road trip. If you are up for a bit of activity though, the hiking trails are really the best way to experience the area as a whole.
The fall season is lurking around the corner and the area surrounding the inn just explodes with color. A weekend getaway with a trip to this state park will make the perfect vacation. Contact us for further information and book directly online today!
