Summer Vermont Waterfall Tour

There are several things in nature that are simply mesmerizing and a beautiful waterfall definitely tops the list. The roar of the water crashing down, the shimmer of the glistening spray, and the true force of nature make a waterfall a sight to be seen. There are some incredible falls all over the world that a nature lover should visit in their lifetime such as Angel Falls, Yosemite Falls, Gullfoss, Victoria Falls, and Niagara Falls to name a few. Most of us don’t have the money in the bank to travel the world but you may be able to take a road trip to Vermont! Right here, close to our inn, we have several beautiful waterfalls you can visit. So get your hiking shoes on and your cameras ready and come over for a summer waterfall getaway.
One great thing about getting to these local waterfalls is that the drive to get there is just as pretty. If you don’t mind a bit of hiking, the walking involved is invigorating and scenic as well. Don’t worry, the paths and trails are easy and the view all around will be worth it.
The first place we want to take you is Bristol, VT where you will find Bartlett Falls and Bristol Memorial Park Falls. Bartlett Falls is actually a popular swimming hole and you can explore behind the falls or jump off the cliff ledges. Use the footbridge around Memorial Park Falls to literally walk all around the falls. These falls drop 25 feet and are a hidden gem in the area so you shouldn’t encounter many crowds here. Next, a 40-minute drive to Granville, VT will take you to Moss Glen Falls. This beautiful spot is one of the most photographed waterfalls in Vermont. tucked in a lush forest. There is a nice, scenic drive through the Granville Reservation State Park to get here and a boardwalk for viewing the falls.
After a day of being outdoors you can come back to your relaxing, private suite and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of local wine. In the morning you will be greeted with the most delicious gourmet breakfast to start your next day’s adventure. That’s what we call a getaway made in heaven!
